Program description

Leaving England for the New World, the Pilgrims sailed across the ocean on their small ship the Mayflower. Join us in learning about life on board the Mayflower and how the ship moved, about the Pilgrims and their life in America, and what inspired the Pilgrims to celebrate the first Thanksgiving. 

1. This program begins with a discussion about who the Pilgrims were.

2. The discussion moves on to what the ship, the Mayflower, was like.

3. The students then learn about what life was like aboard ship for the children.

4. The students will learn about what the Pilgrims found when they landed, who they met, and what they did.

In order to involve as many schools as possible, each school may sign up for only ONE time slot. Also, in order to preserve the interactiveness of the program, only one classroom per school (maximum 30 students).  If you participated in either "Ice Bear, Little Fox" or "Stellaluna", please allow others to participate.

This is a point-to-point connection, meaning there will only be one school involved during each time slot. A kit will be sent to your school, so please make sure that your school can participate before signing up. Last minute substitutions will not be possible.
