Program description A New View of Black History (grades 2–12) Through the colorful, rhythmic paintings of William H. Johnson (1901–1970) students explore the lifestyles, struggles, and spirituality of African-Americans in the United States during the early twentieth century. Accompanying activities strengthen students’ writing skills and increase their awareness of important African-American literary figures. - Taken from the Amon Carter Museum Website.
In order to involve as many schools as possible, each school may sign up for only ONE time slot. Also, in order to preserve the interactiveness of the program, only one classroom per school (maximum 30 students).

Please note the grade level divisions: 8:30 am and 9:45 am are for K-2 11:00 am and 1:30 pm are for 3-6
Programs for K-2 are 50 minutes long. Progarms for 3-6 are 60 minutes long.
